Night Events
As the name suggests these orienteering events take place at night! Some say this is the ultimate orienteering challenge.
All you need is a good torch, whistle and a sense of adventure. Fellow night orienteers will be pleased to give advice before you run, or share experiences with you over a pint afterwards.
KERNO has hosted the British Night Orienteering Championships at Penhale Sands.
In association with our neighbouring orienteering club - Devon OC; the Devon & Cornwall Night League is held during the winter months, commencing in late October. Three courses are offered, Orange, Jade and Green, with a trophy being awarded to the best competitor on each course. By popular request a 'short' option has been introduced with the Jade course which, whilst retaining the technical difficulty of the Green course, reduces the length by a third.
